The half escudo was issued from the Lima mint 1826-42 and 1850-56. It is much scarcer than the price in the SCWC would indicate. The half escudo shown here is identical to the North Peru half escudo (KM 159) except for the date.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.68 g, .875 fine gold, .047 troy oz AGW.
