This specimen was lot 31741 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $235. The catalog description[1] noted, "Felipe II Cob 4 Reales 1592-S, VF25 NGC. Variety with full 4 digit date. Nicely toned with a clear S mintmark." Cayón lists this cob type for Segovia in 1590-97. At some point, the Segovia mint adopted the aqueduct as its mintmark.
