Künker sale 264, lot 3474

This specimen was lot 3474 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €1,000 (about US$1,292 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Franz I. 1745-1765. Dukat 1758, CA, Karlsburg. GOLD. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Austria, Francis I, 1745-65, ducat of 1758, Karlsburg mint. Very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type was produced 1745-65 from Vienna, Hall, Prague, Karlsburg, Graz and Nagybanya and is common. The SCWC does not price any date as rare.

Reported Mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.5 g, .986 fine gold, this specimen 3.46 g.
