This specimen was lot 50436 in Heritage sale 3020 (Long Beach, September 2012), where it sold for $1,175. The catalog description[1] noted,
"GERMANY. Eichstatt. Taler, 1694-GFN. NGC AU-55. Johann Eucharius Schenk (1685-97). Lustrous and attractive with light toning."
The bishopric of Eichstatt, now in Bavaria, occasionally issued coins. This one-year type minted in Nuremberg is the most common thaler for this locality in the seventeenth century.
