This specimen was lot 31128 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $1,980. The catalog description[1] noted, "Poland: Stanislaus Augustus 2 Groschen 1778-EB MS64 PCGS, Warsaw mint. Slightly Prooflike, broad designs floating over reflective fields toned to a steel-gray. A rare type in this grade." This is a rare date of a common type struck 1766-86. Two groschen = 1/12 thaler = 15 groszy.

Recorded mintage: 9,972.

Specification: 3.34 g, 0.587 silver.
