Sincona sale 86, lot 1832

This specimen was lot 1832 in Sincona sale 86 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$505 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Elizabeth II. 1952-2022. Proof Half Sovereign 2016, Royal Mint Llantrisant. Celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday. Obverse portrait by James Butler. Only 1,995 pieces struck (+ 1,666 coins included in sets). NGC PF68 ULTRA CAMEO. With original box and certificate. No. 436 of 2,000 limited edition presentation sets."

This bust of the queen was also used on a gold five pounds (Fr-579).

Recorded mintage: 1,995 plus 1,666 coins included in sets.
