This type, struck 2015-22, was the last struck for queen Elizabeth II. Five pence with the prior bust by Ian Rank-Broadley (KM 1109d) were also struck in 2015. The reverse design was introduced in 2008 and the five pence was converted from copper-nickel to nickel plated steel in 2010.
Recorded mintage: Ian Rank-Broadley bust: 163,000,000 plus 31,103 for the mint sets plus 14,659 for the proof sets. Jody Clark bust: 536,600,000 plus 20,205 for the mint sets plus 4,648 for the proof sets.
Specification: 3.25 g, nickel-plated steel, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge; also collector versions in silver, gold and platinum.
