Stephen Album internet sale 28, lot 1233

This specimen was lot 1233 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $102. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN: Oscar I, 1844-1859, AE 1/6 skilling banco, 1855, a wonderful example, PCGS graded MS64 RB." By the reform of 1830, 32 skilling banco = one riksdaler. This type was struck 1844-55 and is common. It is the last of the denomination. This is a common date.

Recorded mintage: 311,000.

Specification: 1.4 g, copper, 16.1 mm diameter.
