Stack's Bowers 2023 NYINC sale, lot 41869

This specimen was lot 41869 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Hertfordshire. St. Albans. Copper 1/2 Penny Token, 1796. PCGS MS-66 Brown. Plain edge." While Hereford is on the Welsh Marches, Hertfordshire is directly to the north of London.
