This specimen was lot 350 in Sincona sale 78 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$216 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Catherine II. 1762-1796, 5 Kopecks 1794, Suzun Mint, KM. 0.5 rouble according to Petrov. Extremely fine." This type was struck throughout the reign of Catherine the Great, who used large mintages of copper to sustain government expenses.
