Shown is a copper-nickel two hundred réis of the United States of [[Brazil]], struck 1889-1900. It is accompanied by similar 100 réis ([[Brazil 1889 100 reis KM-492|KM 492)]]. It is much scarcer in nice condition than the SCWC indicates, despite the large mintage. The 200 réis gradually shrank until its abolition in 1942 with the reform of the coinage in that year.
