from Heritage sale 3049, lot 31547
Zurich H3049-31547r.jpg

This specimen was lot 31547 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $940. The catalog description[1] noted, "Zurich. City 1/2 Taler 1780 MS64 NGC. Nearly-Gem and perhaps worthy of the title, with argent-white surfaces that host crowned, supported arms. Full mint luster easily maneuvers the fields and a light layer of champagne tone mottles both sides. Choice so fine and scarce at this certified level of Mint State. From the Redwood Collection, Part II." This is a one year type but listed slightly cheaper than the regular issue of 1720-68 (KM 145).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver.

Catalog reference: KM 169.
