The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "SWITZERLAND | [[Switzerland, Zurich|Zurich]] | Stadt und Kanton, Dukat 1753, Zürich. Very fine." This type was struck 1718-61, 1767. Despite the many years of issue, it is still expensive. In 1798, the canton of Zurich was forcibly incorporated into the Helvetic Republic.
