This specimen was lot 5040 in Goldberg sale 72 (Los Angeles, February 2013), where it sold for $380. The catalog description[1] noted, "Jamaica. 100 Dollars, 1975. Christopher Columbus. In original sealed cachet. Choice Brilliant Proof." This is another Non-Circulating Legal Tender coin issued and marketed by the Franklin mint on behalf of Jamaica before it withdrew from coinage operations in 1985.

Recorded mintage: 10,000 uncirculated plus 21,000 proofs.

Specification: 7.83 g, 0.900 fine gold, .226 troy oz AGW.
