Jamaica 1976-FM 100 dollars
This specimen was lot 2068 in Jean Elsen sale 163 (Brussels, November 2025), where it sold for €675 (about US$780 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"JAMAÏQUE, Élisabeth II (1952-2022), AV 100 dollars, 1976. Amiral Horatio Nelson. (Jamaica, Elizabeth II, 1952-2022, gold one hundred dollars of 1976, Admiral Nelson. Proof.)"
HMS Hinchinbrook, depicted on the reverse, was Nelson's first command after being promoted to captain in 1778. He supported an army expedition to Nicaragua, where he contracted and nearly died of dysentery. This NCLT was struck by the Franklin Mint.
