This specimen was lot 75296 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Middlesex. Copper 1/2 Penny Token, ND (ca. 1790). George III. PCGS MS-61 Brown. Pidcock's, featuring elephant and rhinoceros. Largely smooth, burnt brown surfaces with a dash of charcoal toning on both sides." Thousands of varieties exist and Conder tokens are their own collecting specialty.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
