This specimen was part of lot 2453 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), which did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA: Republic, 2-coin mint set, 2009(k), struck at the Kolkata Mint, commemorating the 125th Anniversary of the Birth of Dr. Rajendra Prasad (1884-1963), the first president of the Republic of India, including 100 (silver) and 5 rupees, sealed in original booklet with paper sleeve; set of 2 coins." Rajendra Prasad was the president of India 1950-62 and established the precedent for non-partisanship and independence for the that office. This type was struck at Kolkata, Hyderabad (star minmark), Noida (annulet) and Mumbai (diamond). The set also contained a 100 rupees (KM 415). As of July 2025, 5 rupees = US$0.058.
