This specimen was lot 3408 in Sincona sale 64 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$439 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Lucerne | Stadt und Kanton. Achtelgulden (5 Schilling) 1725, Luzern. Kleines Mzz. B auf dem Revers. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Fast FDC. (city and canton of Luzern, eighth gulden or five schilling of 1725, Luzern mint. Small mintmark "B" on the reverse. Rare in this condition, About uncirculated.)"
Another issue of this denomination in 1725 lacks the beaded circle around the monogram (KM 56). That type is considerably rarer.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: billon, this specimen: 1.34 g.
Catalog reference: KM 57 (monogram in circle). D.T. 562, HMZ 2-660b.
