Cob 4 Reales, 1743-P. Potosi Mint; Assayer Jose Carnicer (C). Philip V. PCGS Genuine--Corrosion Removed, AU Details. Although somewhat overcleaned, this Cob retains a pleasantly clear denomination, assayer's mark, and three-digit date on both sides. A pleasing example struck on a well-formed planchet. From the Pat Johnson Collection." This type was struck for Philip V through his entire reign. Assayer "C" stamped coins 1742-44 only. The silver cobs were debased from .931 fine to 0.917 fine in 1728.
