This specimen was lot 38343 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Anhalt-Bernburg. 1/6 Taler, 1861-A. Berlin Mint. Alexander Karl. PCGS MS-63." This type was struck 1861-62 in Berlin for the tiny state of Anhalt-Bernburg. Rendered obsolete by the coinage reform of 1871, it is today common.
Recorded mintage: 61,620.
Specification: 5.34 g, 0.520 fine silver, 23 mm diameter, edge lettered "~⋆~ GOTT ~⋆~ SEGNE ~⋆~ ANHALT".
