This specimen was lot 1228 in Ponterio sale 173 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $441. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Gluckstadt. 4 Mark (Krone), 1672. Christian V (1670-99). Toned. VERY FINE." This type is noted for 1671-73 and 1677-82. A similar krone was struck at Copenhagen (Dav-3633); it has the date on the right. Christian V was king of Denmark and duke of Schleswig-Holstein. One krone was four mark or two-thirds speciedaler.
