The first specimen was lot 1041 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $282. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA: Franz II, 1792-1835, AE 30 kreuzer, 1807-A, NGC graded MS65 RB." This type was struck 1807-11 with frozen date at Vienna (A), Karlsburg (B) and Günzburg (G) and was intended to pass as one quarter thaler. The 1807-A is the most common. This is the only issue of this denomination in the 19th century.
