Austria 1800-A 24 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 4151 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835 24 Kreuzer 1800 A. Wien. Gutes vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Francis II, 1792-1835, twenty four kreuzer of 1800, Vienna mint. Good extremely fine.)"
This billon piece has as much silver as a French half franc or early U. S. dime. It was struck 1800 only and the SCWC records many were used as blanks for Venetian occupation coinage. One thaler was 120 kreuzer so this was intended to be one-fifth of a thaler but had one-tenth the silver.
