This specimen was lot 23581 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "[[Great Britain, Scotland|SCOTLAND]]. 20 Shillings, 1693. Edinburgh Mint. William & Mary. PCGS FINE-15 Gold Shield. A RARE type, even with a good deal of circulation such as the present example. Rather deeply toned, with a solid, wholesome appearance." This type was struck 1693-94 and would have traded for two English shillings.
