This specimen was lot 5254 in Sincona sale 83 (Zurich, May 2023), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$435 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND, 10 Rappen 1897 B, Bern. NGC MS66. Prachtexemplar. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar. (Cabinet piece, Finest certified by NGC.)" The SCWC records the 1897 as a scarce date for the five and ten rappen. The type was struck 1879-2015 without change.
