This specimen was lot 6250 in Sincona sale 81 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 40,000 CHF (about US$47,940 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND | Confederation, 10 Rappen 1896 B, Bern. Of the highest rarity. Only 16 pieces struck. Uncirculated. Magnificent condition." This type was struck at the Bern mint 1879-2015. This is a rare date.
