This type was struck in 1960 only. It is the only issue of this denomination. There are a similar fifty centésimos and one peso (KM 41, KM 42). The sixties saw the beginning of the hyperinflation that would devour Uruguayan prosperity and aggravate the right wing/Marxist conflicts of the seventies.
Recorded mintage: 48,000,000.
