This type was struck in 1960 only. It is the next-to-last issue of this denomination. There are a similar twenty-five centésimos and one peso (KM 40, KM 42). The sixties saw the beginning of the hyperinflation that would devour Uruguayan prosperity and aggravate the right wing/Marxist conflicts of the seventies.
