This specimen was lot 23099 in Heritage sale 3020 (Long Beach, September 2012), where it sold for $1,057.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Rudolph II 2 Taler 1604 Hall, AU Details NGC obverse graffiti, very faint letters in the obverse fields, possibly cleaned at one time and now re-toned. Scarce multiple Taler." This particular type is listed for 1604 only. It is among the more available double thalers of seventeenth century Austria.
