Künker sale 406, lot 4436

This specimen was lot 4436 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabruck, March 2024), where it sold for €1,400 (about US$1,837 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, Eberhard Ludwig, 1693-1733. 1/2 Reichstaler 1707, Stuttgart. RR Feine Tönung, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (duchy of Württemberg, Eberhard Louis, 1693-1733, half thaler of 1707, Stuttgart mint. Very rare, fine toning, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type accompanied a quarter thaler and a thaler (Dav-2849. Wurttemberger coinage prior to the 1730's is rare.
