Sincona sale 6, lot 2005

This specimen was lot 2005 in Sincona sale 6 (Zurich, May 2012), where it sold for 220 CHF (about US$271 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RDR/ÖSTERREICH Karl VI. 1711-1740. Dukat 1734, Hall. Belorbeerte Büste rechts. Rv. Gekröntes Wappen auf gekröntem Doppeladler. Selten. Geknittert. Fast sehr schön. (Austria, Charles VI, 1711-40, ducat of 1734, Hall mint. Obverse: laureate bust to right; reverse: crowned double-headed eagle bearing crowned arms. Rare, good very fine.)"

This type was struck at Hall 1734-40 and is priced about double the ducats of Francis I.
