This specimen was lot 73359 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. 4 Reales, 1791-L IJ. Lima Mint. Charles IV. PCGS Genuine--Graffiti, Fine Details Gold Shield. Still featuring the bust of the former king, Charles III, this minor clearly saw its fair share of circulation, and despite its light graffiti, remains a great example of the type."
