Netherlands 1966 cent rev AH.jpg

Queen Wilhelmina abdicated in 1948 in protest of Dutch colonial policy in Indonesia in favor of her daughter, Juliana, who would rule until 1980. New coin types were therefore necessary and were introduced in 1950. This bronze cent was struck without change until 1980. No dates are rare. Large and small date varieties exist for 1966.

Recorded mintage: 104,000,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 2 g, bronze, 17 mm diameter, plain edge.

Catalog reference: KM 180, Sch-1251.
