This specimen was lot 1925 in Jean Elsen sale 125 (Brussels, June 2015), where it sold for €180 (about US$240 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, Koninkrijk, Willem II (1840-1849), 1 gulden, 1843. Mooie patina Zeer Fraai. (kingdom of the Netherlands, William II (1840-49), one gulden of 1843. Nice toning, very fine.)"
This type was struck 1840-49 at Utrecht. The 1843 is a fairly common date. The contemporary French silver two francs was 10 g, .900 fine.

Specification: 10 g, .945 fine silver, .303 troy oz ASW, 28 mm diameter.
