This specimen was lot 24395 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $2,350. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V Proof Halfcrown 1935, PR66 NGC, brilliant silvery gray surfaces, a rare grade for a coin that is rarely seen, as a Proof of Record, in any state." This type was issued 1927-36 and this date is common tho proofs are rare.

Recorded mintage: 7,022,000 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 14.14 g, .500 fine silver, 32.3 mm diameter.
