This specimen was lot 21076 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $1,527.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "George V Proof Halfcrown 1934, PR64 NGC, light gray surfaces. Very rare as a Proof of Record." This type was issued in large numbers 1927-36 but the proofs are rare. It was the largest coin to actually circulate after World War One.

Recorded mintage: 2,422,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 14.13 g, .500 fine silver, .227 troy oz ASW, 32.3 mm diameter, designed by Bertram MacKennal and Percy Metcalfe.
