Künker sale 294, lot 4313

This specimen was lot 4313 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €1,300 (about US$1,752 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"REICHSSILBERMÜNZEN, MECKLENBURG-STRELITZ, Adolf Friedrich V. 1904-1914. 3 Mark 1913. Polierte Platte, min. berieben. (Germany, unified silver coinage, grand duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Adolf Frederick V, 1904-14, three mark of 1913, polished.)"

This one year type is expensive in all grades. It is the only coin of this ruler and the last issue from this state.

Recorded mintage: 7,000 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 16.67 g, .900 fine silver, 33 mm diameter.
