This specimen was lot 22371 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $60. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 5 Yuan Piefort, 1997. NGC MS-67. Auspicious matters." This design was used on a gold five yuan (KM 1057) and a silver ten yuan.

Recorded mintage: 80,000 including the regular issue.

Specification: 15.55 g, .999 fine, 0.500 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: KM 1058 (regular issue), KM-P29 (piefort).
