Sincona sale 98, lot 4639

This specimen was lot 4639 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$508 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Taler 1691, Zürich. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, city and canton of Zürich, thaler of 1691, Zürich mint. Good Very Fine.)"

This type was struck 1691, 1693, 1694 along with Dav-4651, which had "DOMINE/CONSERVA/NOS IN PACE" on the reverse.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a better date.

Specifications: silver, this specimen 28.27 g.
