Sincona sale 39, lot 4775

This specimen was lot 4775 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$360 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Zürich, Halbtaler 1690. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Hübsche Patina. (canton of Zürich, half thaler of 1690. Very fine-extremely fine. Attractive patina.)"

This scarce type was struck 1673-74 and 1690.

Recorded mintage: unknown.
