Zurich 1624 batzen KM-41
This specimen was lot 3628 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 1,400 CHF (about US$1,850 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Batzenklippe 1624, Zürich. Im doppelten Batzengewicht. Selten. Vorzüglich. Schrötlingsfehler auf der Revers. (Switzerland, canton of Zurich, klippe batzen of 1624, Zürich mint, double weight. Rare, Extremely fine, Flan flaw on reverse.)"
This type, one of the few Swiss minors issued in klippe format, is listed in the SCWC for 1623-24 and 1633 but not priced. Conventional round batzen were also struck.
