This specimen was lot 34668 in Heritage sale 3038 (Dallas, January 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Germany, Wurzburg. Christoph Franz gold 1/2 Ducat ND (1724) MS64 NGC. A charming example of this scarce 1/2 Ducat with praiseworthy luster and strong eye appeal. Old dealer's tag enclosed." We don't know whether this is the most common Wurzburg gold coin of the eighteenth century, but it is listed the cheapest in the SCWC.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.75 g, 0.986 fine gold.
