Wurzburg (1724) ducat Fr-3697
This specimen was lot 246 in Sincona sale 54 (Zürich, May 2019), where it sold for 1,000 CHF (about US$1,190 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Würzburg, Bistum, Christoph Franz von Hutten, 1724-1729. Dukat o. J. Würzburg. Geprägt vor der Weihe am 8. April 1725. . Vorzüglich. (Germany, bishopric of Würzburg, Christopher Francis of Hutten, 1724-29, undated ducat, Wurzburg mint. Extremely fine.)"
This ducat was accompanied by KM 274, with obverse legend "D. G. EL. EP.", and KM 275, with a harbor view. There is also a half ducat, (KM 273), double ducat ( KM 268) and a quintuple ducat (KM 278) issued for the occasion.
