This specimen was lot 30101 in Heritage sale 3041 (Chicago, August 2015), where it sold for $1,116.25. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Wurttemberg. Karl I gold 10 Mark 1876-F MS65 NGC, Stuttgart mint, Essentially entirely void of abrasive contact, with a complete strike and thickly layered mint bloom. A touch of black residue, likely easily removable and not doing any damage, is noted within the H in REICH on the reverse for accuracy's sake. A very scarce coin when located this fine, and to date, the only example of the type (1874-88) graded at the MS65 level by NGC. From The Kaiser Collection of German Gold Coins." This type was issued 1874-81 and 1888 and is common tho proofs are rare.

Recorded mintage: 933,000 plus proofs.
