Sincona sale 33, lot 2448

This specimen was lot 2448 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$416 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Württemberg, 1495 Herzogtum. Karl Eugen, 1744-1793 Konventionstaler 1759. Stuttgart. Sehr schön. (Germany, duchy of Württemberg, Charles Eugene, 1744-93, convention thaler of 1759, Stuttgart mint. Very fine.)"

This rather scarce type is one of two for the date. The other (Dav-2859) has the duke's sash going the opposite way.
