Künker sale 386, lot 5471

This specimen was lot 5471 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €460 (about US$595 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WESTPHALEN, KÖNIGREICH, Hieronymus Napoleon, 1807-1813. 2/3 Taler (24 Mariengroschen) 1810, B. Variante ohne Punkt nach FUS.Prachtexemplar. Winz. Schrötlingsfehler, fast Stempelglanz. Aus der Sammlung Siegfried von Schuckmann. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 335, Osnabrück 2020, Nr. 4430. (kingdom of Westphalia, Jerome Napoleon, 1807-13, two-thirds thaler of 1810, variety without dot after "FUS". Outstanding example, minor planchet defects, about uncirculated.)"

This one year type is somewhat scarce. This Napoleonic puppet state, formed out of provinces mulcted from Hannover and Prussia, was restored to its former lords at the Congress of Vienna.
