This specimen is lot 937 in Jean Elsen sale 104 (Brussels, March 2010), where it sold for 80 euro. The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIEN ITALIE, VENISE, Paolo Renier (1779-1789), AR tallero, 1781, Droit : Le lion de saint Marc assis à droite, tête à gauche. Revers : B. de la République à droite. Beau" (Italy, Venice, Doge Paolo Renier (1779-89), silver tallero of 1781; obverse: lion of Saint Mark, head turned to left; reverse: bust of the Republic. Fine).

This type was struck 1781-88 and tho priced fairly low in the SCWC, does not turn up often. It was accompanied by one-eighth, one quarter (KM C102) and one half tallero coins. The Republic was occupied by Napoleon in 1797 and traded by him to Austria, which held it until 1866.
