Sincona sale 69, lot 901

This specimen was lot 901 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 975 CHF (about US$1,294 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"THE NETHERLANDS | Utrecht, Provinz. Dukat 1789. Vorzüglich. Überprägungsspuren. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, ducat of 1789. Extremely fine, Signs of overstrike.)"

The province of Utrecht issued ducats throughout the eighteenth century until the final collapse in 1794.
