Utrecht 1765 10 stuivers
This specimen was lot 1746 in Jean Elsen sale 141 (Brussels, June 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, UTRECHT, Provincie, AR 10 stuiver (Nederlandse halve gulden), 1765. Vz/ Nederlandse maagd met speer en vrijheidshoed. Kz/ Gekroond Generaliteitswapen. Uiterst zeldzaam. Zeer Fraai. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, silver ten stuiver or half gulden of 1765. Obverse: the Dutch maid stands with spear and shield; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality. Very rare, Very Fine.)"
This type, equal to half a gulden, was struck 1750-94 and most dates are common. A few were also struck in gold.
