This specimen was lot 43260 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Utrecht. 2 Ducats, 1758/7. Utrecht Mint. NGC Unc Details--Obverse Cleaned. A seldom encountered double Ducat, the present overdate example is rather charming despite the noted issue. Close inspection shows the clear overdate and likely an early striking of this year as well. From the Leo Ullman Collection of Dutch Gold Coins." This type was struck throughout the eighteenth century until 1794 but remains expensive.
